World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Upgrades to items can be used to boost the stats of an item. Depending on the type of upgrade, it may increase the rarity of an item, or its Mark Level and boost additional stats.

Upgrades to gear in The War Within requires a certain number of Flightstones and Crests and each item has an upgrade track. Each upgrade increases the cost of the next item by a certain amount.

Item Level

When an item gets upgraded, its base stats are increased in value. The value is the sum of all of its upgraded perks (attack, magic attack and defense). Upgrades can be expensive depending on the person you hire and what you do. This is due to the sheer number of perks that must be altered to upgrade an item.

It can also be used as a gating requirement when waiting for dungeons, raids and scenarios. It can also be used to determine a gating condition when waiting for dungeons, scenarios, and raids, as well as to limit the amount of PvP gear that a player can wear (since PvP is capped at a lower level). Players can view their average level of item on their character sheet.

When deciding whether to purchase or sell equipment, players can compare the level of an item. It's a useful gauge of an item's worth and the amount of damage it will be capable of causing. The item level can also be used to evaluate items when examining a vendor's inventory.

The level of the item can be viewed by pressing the ALT key on PC or using the left stick (L3) on XB1 and PS4. This will show the full description of the item, including its value. You can also locate it by hovering over an item and typing in /itemlevel chat.

There are many theories about the method by which the level of an item is calculated. One theory states that the level of an item is determined by a formula that calculates how valuable an item upgrading's stats actually are. It takes into consideration that different perks are valued differently, and that gems in the sockets increase the item's value. This can result in a calculated item's ilvl that is typically very close to Blizzard's real level of the item.

This is not the only thing that affects the level of an item. The level of the area where the item was dropped can alter its stats. For instance, it could add a level to the item's haste or crit rating. This means that items that drop at higher levels will have more the ilvl than items from lower level instances.

Item Stats

Item stats are a big element in what makes or breaks an item for players. The game uses a variety of them in a variety of ways to encourage players to play with multiple weapons, and to prevent one weapon from being "the best." The stats of a base weapon are increased by the weapon's stat modification, which are themselves enhanced by the player's level.

Upgrades to an item may boost its stats. The costs for upgrades are determined by the rarity of the item. For instance, a grey or white item will only be upgraded once, while an item with the rare tiers can be upgraded many times, at higher costs.

Another way to change the stats on an item is to use affixes. They are stat boosters that can be added by the player to an item. The affixes are used to give items extra damage or other special capabilities (such as the ability to revive dead or reduce cooling downs) or to make them unique by naming them.

Currently, all affixes can be rerolled by selecting them from the upgrade window and pressing the green button with circles arrows. This procedure will cost the player a certain amount of gold and other items that can be used to add to the upgrade gauge in the same way as other rerolling options.

In addition to rerolling affixes, players can also choose which of the available stats they want to keep on an item after it is upgraded. The stat ranges are determined by the item's level. However each item will contain at least one stat in the range, unless they are a unique item upgrades or an item that has a God Roll from a boss in a raid.

Another thing that could be changed is the possibility of upgrading equipment without having to roll the attaches, or select which stats to boost. Similar to the base equipment, this would have to be done per item and the interface for item comparison would not display all the possible stats at once.

Item Luck

The Luck stat of a player increases the likelihood of locating items as well as the properties created by loot and the strength of these properties. However, it doesn't directly impact damage or the ability to upgrade items. It provides players with the chance to upgrade equipment earlier in the game. This is more beneficial for early game runs, because players tend to put the scaling of weapons and defenses over raw damage gains.

Luck can also boost the likelihood of upgrading items at the Blacksmith. This isn't to be confused with the Blacksmith's overall chances of upgrading, which increase with each new level of item. These can also be increased with the use of anti-materials like a Scroll of Strength and a Jewel of Blessing.

Armor, shields and weapons come with an initial Luck value of 40. These items can be improved by using golden ingots or spined leather (depending on the type of material) to add another 40 luck or to boost an item's existing Luck up to 140.

Furthermore there are certain items, such as the Hollow weapon that is infused with hollow can be used to boost the damage of any damage-dealing skill by 5%. These items are available in the shop or crafted by using the appropriate ingredients.

Item Failure

Not all upgrades are successful. However, there are some cash shop items that allow players to increase their success rate or prevent them from losing an item if the upgrade fails.

When you upgrade an item the success rate is displayed in the Honing UI. The percentage is the probability of successful upgrading an item. This can be increased with Additional Materials or Special materials. There are limitations to the extent to which success rates can be increased and the probability of an upgrade failing cannot be greater than 100%..

The success of an upgrades is also influenced by the Luck of that item upgrader mod. All items have an overall success rate of 25 percent and every item with Luck increases the chance of success by five percent.

The item upgrade overlays are rendered above the items in the inventory. This may obscure enchantment effects and other effects. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
