World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of armors, weapons and rings. They also increase bonuses such as PvE damage and crit chance.

If the weapon's upgrade template is in %, the weapon will increase 3percent of its previous damage for every time it is upgraded.

The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases with the item's level.

Components

Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, armor, and weapons to give them a stat boost or to add an additional effect. They can be obtained by crafting, buying from vendors trading, or looting. Some upgrades can also be accompanied by special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into any equipment that has a slot for them; the item must be at a minimum upgraded to blue level for a component to be inserted. Like other mods, upgrade components can only be used once and can't be used multiple times or replaced with new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a specific kind of upgrade component that is used for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment and some of the back items that are not ascending. Infusions and Enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment that is ascended or completing a mission in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix can be added to an upgrade, thereby changing the name of the item it's used on (for instance, 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' is changed to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase an Best item upgrade's Mark Level, or Rarity, allowing players to create stronger versions of the equipment that require less Upgrade Crystals than are required to achieve the same level of upgrade using normal methods.

A 'boost' upgrade can change the attack or defence characteristics of an armored weapon or. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist, these upgrades can be created at the Portative Forging Station. They can also be dropped by enemies when upgrading other gear or purchasing them from the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals per.

Each upgrade increases the probability that a higher tier version of the item will be revealed at the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to keep improving their equipment even if they're uncertain of the extent to which it will improve following a subsequent reset.

The process of upgrading an item can be costly and it is likely that the item will be obsolete, or even break, if the upgrade fails. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed when an upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to reduce or eliminate the risk of failure. Certain upgrades also provide an additional bonus when reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade parts that can be inserted into special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs increase the power of nodes within a radius, which includes any pre-existing affixes. Glyphs can be upgraded in numerous ways. We recommend upgrading them as quickly as possible to level 15.

It is commonplace to see in the endgame that putting Glyphs is the most effective way to upgrade your gear. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded directly to level 15 and offer an enormous boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to get higher nodes faster.

Glyphs, the sole upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and then replaced again are the most commonly used. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires the use of a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and re-place.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it in your inventory. You can decide to replace it with a Glyph of the same rank or a higher rank, which will boost the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase, with certain unlimited-use tools, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt has the chance of dropping one of the many Glyphs as well as some rare glyphs that can be found in the form of drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have the desired Glyphs You will need to place them on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that boosts the stats of a specific set of nodes within a radius around the Glyph. Based on the Glyph, this will either be +40 to one of your primary stats or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Using the Glyph can boost all nodes that are linked to it, so it is recommended to position your Glyphs near key nodes on the Graph to maximize the impact. For instance, a Druid should try to position their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes but you should also think about placing them near crucial damage nodes as well.

Leveling

The upgrade system for items lets players increase the performance of certain items by placing upgraded components inside them. This is known as "upping". Each upgradeable item has a level which determines the final statistics. Upgraded items can be upgraded up to a maximum of 385 ilvl. Each level of an item requires different components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes are available in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or purchased from some NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe completed yields a certain number of Technology points. These points can be used to upgrading an item. Once enough points are earned you will be able to claim your upgrade and receive its additional bonuses.

When the player upgrade a piece of equipment the original item will be replaced by a new item level upgrade. The same armor can be transformed into a weapon or a shield when upgraded. The new item also comes with its own bonus. This could be a drawback, as it can cause the item to become more expensive if you do not need it.

If the player has enough tokens they can reroll item upgrades. The item will be replaced by the same item, but it has a level 1 basis and completely different bonuses. This is useful for certain items, but it shouldn't be performed frequently, since it can waste lots of resources.

Certain upgrades can be rerolled several times which increases their value and giving players the ability to alter their equipment. An excellent example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives a buff when the player repeatedly enters and exits water (or swims like dolphins). This item can be upgraded many times by increasing the maximum roll each time by 10 increments. This item upgrader kit is highly important in PvP. A perfectly rolled version can be worth 50 times the value of a unupgraded counterpart.

Requirements

The upgrade of items allows players to boost the level of their available gear--armor, weapons and trinkets above ilvl 385--by presenting the appropriate currency and items to an item upgrader NPC. The upgrade of armor set pieces will also increase the defense base of the piece, whereas upgrading weapon equipment will increase the base damage and the strength and dexterity required to match the requirements of the upgraded equipment.

All items are upgradeable up to five times, with the exception for hero equipment, which can be upgraded eight times. Each time you upgrade an object it is at risk of failing. The failure rate increases when you exceed the maximum number. Failures can result in the item reverting to its original state, which will force the user to spend more money on materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the highest number of upgrades.

If an item is not upgraded the experience bar in the bar for growth will be reset to zero. Additionally the item will lose any bonuses it gained such as crit chance and attack damage, as well as any additional effects associated with that effect (for instance, an increase in heal over time or the speed of reloading). However, the player may still continue to use the weapon or armor after the failure.

When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from the lowest to highest. This means that if a weapon gains a crit chance increase, the increase will be applied prior to any damage from attacks increases. Slots is a brand new attribute that has been added to the definitions of items. The value is calculated every time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item upgrader is based on the rarity rating and number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium products is equal to the base value of the upgrade. For example, a common equipment item may have five upgrades, each costing 25600 Technology Points, 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items have lower costs per upgrade.

Premium items might have different upgrade requirements from regular gear. For example they may require fewer sowels, but more minerals and orons. The player will still need to take every piece of gear they wish to upgrade to NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each upgrade to equipment will require different amounts of ingredients for upgrading, in addition to the costs mentioned above.
