The upgrade of gear can increase its base stats and sometimes enhances its extras. The worth of these upgrades is determined by the tiers of gear, their requirements and how many random augmentations are made available.

The most powerful racial Shield Razortail for instance, is usually upgraded to improve its lightning absorption capabilities in PvP, and/or to add additional defenses to missile-based designs in the PvM. This makes it more tradeable over the original version that is not upgraded.

Reroll Tokens

Reroll tokens permit you to roll a purchased item like an armor, weapon or ring. The item is swapped for one similar item and comes with a different set of extra bonuses. Reroll tokens are a cost-effective method to upgrade equipment. They don't maintain the original item's level and any wasted resources will not be refunded.

The surviving players can acquire tokens to reroll in many ways, including the Mistery Box and rare drops from skulled creatures. They can also be found in crates and chests, or purchased from the store for 150k each. Reroll tokens can be used to alter an attribute on an item, such as increasing its damage or granting it a brand new stat.

Players can roll their equipment in three attributes three categories: physical power, magic power and health. Upgrades to physical power increase damage from weapons and melee attack and spell power increase the damage of mage attacks and the ring. Health upgrades give the player an additional amount of health.

Three types of reroll tokens are available in three categories: upgrade rare and legendary. Each of these upgrades the item to a better quality. To make them, you require an upgrade level reroll token. Upgrades that are enhanced require a standard item, while rare upgrades require a special or legendary item and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.

Unlike other special tokens and markers that are placed on Action spaces, the reroll marker remains on the spot until the next success result is repeated. This helps to prevent the waste of upgrades.

Blueprints are envelopes which appear at the start of every preparation phase. They are opened using Interact by grabbing on to them. When they are opened, they will display a description and icon for the Ingredient or Appliance. The restaurant's shop can swap blueprints for a new appliance or ingredient for an amount of money.

In the course of the course of a game, blueprints can be transferred between the Staple Pool and the Non-staple pool based on chosen Franchise Cards. This affects which blueprints the restaurant's shop has available for rerolls and which are available in the Non-droppable Pool.

Growthstones

Weapons, armor, and accessories can be upgraded in Throne and Liberty using Growth Stones. These are special stones that increase the level of an item by increasing its stats or characteristics. These items can be found by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs in the main towns. Contract Coin Merchants will sell them for a fee. These stones can also be obtained by players who complete daily contracts.

To upgrade equipment, players must first locate the appropriate item and then click on the "level up" button. The screen will show a summary of the item's current level and what it will become after being leveled-up. It will also show the amount of Growth Stones required to do so. The number of Growth Stones needed to upgrade an item will depend on its rarity. Rare (blue), rarer weapons will require more than one Growth Stone, while uncommon armor only requires one Growth Stone.

After deciding on what to upgrade, players must then select the number of green Growth Stones they wish to utilize and pay the appropriate cost. When the requirements are met, the player can select the upgrade button to apply the Growth Stones to the item. The item will be raised in level by a specific percentage. Based on the rarity of the item, the upgrade process can take anywhere from seconds to minutes.

The upgrade process is safe and doesn't impact the durability of the item. This is a great way for players who wish to get an edge in combat but don't want burden their wallets. By clicking on the "transfer tab", players can also transfer their experience and progress of an upgraded piece of gear onto a new piece of gear.

For new players, it can be difficult to obtain Growth Stones. There are a variety of ways to obtain them, including contract completion and purchasing them from the Contract Coin Merchant, defeating Abyssal Contract enemies, obtaining them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book, or obtaining them from reward chests during the Ancient Arena season. In addition, players can cut down higher-level Growth Stones to create multiple lower-level ones.

Leveling

Leveling is an option that lets players boost the base stats of weapons armor, helms and trinkets. The Upgrade Station lets you combine an item upgrader kit with upgrade materials and pay a fee in Happy Tickets or Happy Stars. The upgrade materials will be consumed and the item upgrader mod will gain an upgrade to a higher level. This process can be repeated until the highest level for an item is reached.

Items with upgraded base stats will display a blue icon in their slot. Upgrade components, unlike enchantments can't be added to more than one item at the same time. Each upgrade component will require the purchase of a certain amount of items, as well as a minimum equipment level.

The Upgrade Station has two slots: the first is where players can put in a piece of equipment that they wish to upgrade, and the right shows a preview of what the equipment will look like once it is at its next level. Pressing the yellow arrow once a player has sufficient materials will initiate the upgrade process.

A piece of equipment may be upgraded up to five times. Each time the item is upgraded, its stats will increase by a small amount. The highest level for an item is 19.

Once an item level upgrade reaches the maximum level, its upgrades are no longer available to it. In the same way, once an item reaches the level of a specific upgrade track (e.g. Veteran or Explorer) upgrades to that track will come with discounted prices.

Upgrade components are a form of equipment that is able to be inserted into armors, weapons trinkets, gathering tools and other trinkets to give an additional benefit or bonus while the equipment is in use. They can be purchased through vendors, looted or obtained through questing. They can also be traded between players. Upgrade components can be swapped with new ones. However, this will ruin the previous upgrade.

Requirements

Item upgrades give players the ability to increase certain stats of armor and weapons that they currently have. The requirements to upgrade an item will vary based on the type of item however, generally you'll require Dilithium as well as a few Upgrade Tokens (various options are available).

The upgrade items can be slotted into equipment sets and weapons for extra effects or a higher item level. These upgrades can be obtained from a variety of sources, such as crafting, buying from the Trading Post, karma vendors or looting from raids and bosses. Once an upgrade element is placed in an item it isn't able to be removed or changed without restriction, however, the glyphs that are used in gathering tools can be swapped out without restrictions.

Upgrading an item can increase its Mark Level and/or Rarity. Certain upgrade components have additional modifiers that can increase the stats of the item.

For instance, the helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" improves base defense, and adds an extra 20% chance to block. In addition the dps upgrade "Wildfire" increases weapon damage.

Some items are better off being upgraded less because of their improved stats, but more because it allows players to gain the maximum amount of value out of a perfect roll on the item. For instance, a perfectly rolled 200/6 504 armor set piece is highly valued in the melee PvP community and could be worth 20-50x the non-upp'd version.

When you choose an upgrade component to slot into an item the game will display an in-game window that lists the necessary requirements. The game will display the requirements required when you select an upgrade component to slot into an item.

Once you've met the required requirements for an upgrade, the game will place the item in your inventory, and the progress bar will be updated to indicate how close to completing the upgrade. You can also verify the status of an upgrade by going to any NPC that upgrades items.
