Upgrades provide a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by 3. A random additional substat is also increased with each upgrade.

The more modernized gear generally has a higher trade value regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or has a high stat variance (like Eth titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the need to roll for a perfect version.

Recycle Points

Upgrades are items that can be used for tools, armor, weapon, and accessory upgrades. They can be bought by players from NPCs that sell upgrades to items in exchange for various currencies, and can also be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased it can be applied to any weapon, tool, or armor with an button, which will show an image of the item at the next upgrade level when the player has enough materials.

The cost of upgrades varies based on the slot of the item and current item upgrader kit level and the weapon's price is higher than bracers or gloves, for example. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones and a variety of crests, with certain upgrades having a discount to lower the cost of the Flightstones or the crests used.
