WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades provide a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by 3. A random additional substat is also increased with each upgrade.

The more modernized gear generally has a higher trade value regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or has a high stat variance (like Eth titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the need to roll for a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader kit upgrader enables players to upgrade their gear to a higher level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and can't be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enchantments.

You can upgrade your equipment at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader once every few weeks to ensure that your equipment is up to date.

Upgrades will cost more depending on the level of the item however, they are always less expensive than purchasing new gear. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest up to the level of ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used for tools, armor, weapon, and accessory upgrades. They can be bought by players from NPCs that sell upgrades to items in exchange for various currencies, and can also be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased it can be applied to any weapon, tool, or armor with an button, which will show an image of the item at the next upgrade level when the player has enough materials.

The cost of upgrades varies based on the slot of the item and current item upgrader kit level and the weapon's price is higher than bracers or gloves, for example. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones and a variety of crests, with certain upgrades having a discount to lower the cost of the Flightstones or the crests used. After an item has been upgraded to a certain degree it is able to be degraded and returned to the upgrader for a lower amount of the two currencies.

Many locations have upgraders for their items in addition to the main island and some outposts. The NPCs offer an upgrade coupon and the possibility of getting an entirely new recipe. The discount on upgrades increases depending on the amount of items being upgraded, and can be boosted by requiring players to complete specific achievements or quests.

Icewind Dale does not have an upgrader for items at the start unlike Cromwell from Baldur's gate II. Instead the NPCs that can be used to upgrade are acquired via several methods that are both an improvement but also a drawback.

In Season 3, the upgrade system was altered a bit, with some new features added. After an upgrade has been completed to a certain level of item for an armor slot, upgrading other items to the same item level, will cost less. This is true even if those items are from an entirely different set of equipment.

The amount of Valorstones required for upgrades is reduced, and the discount is available across all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed to upgrade is cut too, but it is only available once certain milestones have been reached.

Crests

When upgrading gear in WoW, players have a couple of choices. Flightstones are an option that is accessible to all players for upgrading. Crests are more specific and are used for specific item level upgrades. Crests are an essential part of the Dragonflight gear progression system introduced in 10.1 and are available in 4 ranks.

The first thing to note is that crests are only able to be used to purchase gear of a specific rank, and that each rank has different requirements for upgrading. The simplest and simplest upgrade path costs 15 crests, while the most complicated requires as many as 20 crests based on the kind of gear that is being upgraded.

Players can earn crests by working through content that is of the appropriate level, which means walking around and doing outdoor activities to get lower-tier gear, raids or dungeons of any difficulty for higher-tier items, or Mythic+ dungeons or heroic raid bosses to obtain endgame gear. The crests can then be exchanged with an item Level upgrade (historydb.Date) upgrader such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to upgrade the item in the proper steps and pathways.

The new currency system isn't too difficult to use, but it will bring some changes to the process of upgrading. For example, once a piece of equipment reaches the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic), it won't need Flightstones to be upgraded. This change allows players to upgrade their equipment to the highest possible level on all their characters rather than relying on seasonal loot.

It's also essential to use crests wisely, as they only have one use. It's Best item upgrader to use your Whelpling-rank Crests on the highest-quality gear you can find, and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests to be used for the next set of upgrades. This is especially applicable to rings and trinkets that fill multiple slots on the character that will be able to avail the account-wide discount when all slots are full of high-quality equipment.
