The majority of robot vacuum-mop combinations can be customized using an application designed specifically for the purpose. You can save maps of your home, organize cleaning schedules, and select mopping modes. They also let you change suction power and fine tune the amount of water and scrubbing action your mop uses.

A mapping feature can help your robot vacuum cleaners best navigate rooms and obstacles, while an obstacle avoidance function will stop it from hitting wires, furniture or other pet toys. These are essential features for my home, which is filled with toys that are scattered about.

1. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the company's flagship mop and vacuum, which is why it's a natural choice to be with a host of features. It's able to both mop and sweep in a single session and can lift its mop pads and brushes to prevent soft surfaces from getting too damp. It can also avoid obstacles by looking for pet toys, plants, and other small objects.

The robotic vacuum's maximum suction power is 6,600 pascals. This is higher than any other robot vacuum we've tested so far. It also comes with PreciSense LiDAR Navigation to track its location, preventing it getting stuck on an object.

The S8 Pro Ultra's mopping capabilities are also impressive. It can continuously apply pressure to the pad of more than 6 Newtons to ensure a thorough cleaning. It also comes with mop lifter that lifts the pad automatically when it is able to switch between tile, laminate or hardwood flooring, as well as carpet or rugs to prevent soaking soft surfaces.

The S8 Pro Ultra also has self-washing and self drying features. The pad can be rinsed and dried in the dock and the dust container is automatically empty and returned to it. This means that you can set it and forget it, only needing to change the dust bag or refill the water tank every now and then.

All of this is powered by a lithium-ion 5,200mAh battery. The S8 Pro Ultra ran on its usual mop and vac-settings for around 160 minutes before it started to run out of power, and then returned to its base to recharge. This isn't that far from the 180 minutes that Roborock claims and is at the same level as other hybrids I've tried.

This is a highly well-rounded and capable product, with the only drawback being that it's costly. The number of features make it a great choice for anyone looking to replace their old mops and stick vacuums. If you are able to justify the cost, we highly recommend checking this one out.

2. Dreametech L10S Ultra

The Dreametech L10S Ultra is a top-of-the-line robot vacuum and mop combination. The high price is justified by its robust features, such as a huge vacuuming capability and two mop heads that gyrate. It also has an app-based controller that is smart and a mighty obstacle avoidance technology.

The L10S Ultra is one of the most expensive robotic vacuum and mop combos available, at a recommended retail price of 999 euros. In my tests, it did well in all areas of the home, removing 98.4% of debris on all types of floors and able to lift long hair without getting caught in. The mops also performed admirably with excellent cleaning results with less effort than mid-range models. This was thanks to their rotational motion and an effective dose of cleaning solution.

The docking station is the primary selling point of the L10S Ultra. It's multifunctional and sophisticated. The dock empties its dustbin into dirt bag, fills its water tank to enable the mopping function and even dry the mop pads for you. It also features an in-real-time system for detecting hazards and allows you to schedule periodic cleaning sessions via its smart controls.

The L10S Ultra does not offer the best performance in removing carpet debris when compared to the other hybrid vacuum mop I tested. The mops of the L10S Ultra aren't as effective in removing tough stains as the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra.

Despite the L10S Ultra's premium features, it still requires regular maintenance. Its base station needs to be cleaned out and the dustbag and water tanks must be emptied, cleaned and dried regularly to avoid mildew and unpleasant odors. The mop pads that are sold separately will require changing regularly.

With the L10S Ultra's pricey price tag and extensive functionality, I would recommend it to anyone who has the money for it. If you're looking to save money I would suggest a less basic model that allows you to save money while still being able to enjoy hands-free cleaning at your home. Even it were the case that the L10S Ultra was the best robotic mop and vacuum combination you could purchase, its high cost and constant maintenance will make it more of a want than need.

3. Eufy S1 Pro

Eufy S1 Pro is the robot vacuum and mop that you need to clean up messes and clean dirt off your floors. This powerful robovac/mop combo comes with a powerful suction capacity of 8,000 Pa. It also boasts a huge battery capacity that can be used for both vacuuming as well as mowing. It's also fitted with a top-notch obstacle-avoidance system. It even comes with a roller mop that cleans itself as it moves and makes the S1 Pro stand out from other models that require users to return to their base station mid-clean in order to clean the mop's pad.

The S1 Pro uses a unique mopping system that is a major contrast to the microfiber pads and spinning discs used in other robots. The roller covers the entire width of the robot and is constantly dosed with clean, ozonated water from its dock. When it turns the roller, it scrubs your floors while soaking up dirt and any dry debris is removed by the side brushes or swept into the front colision bumper. The S1 Pro then takes the mop water into its base station, which is then sucked up by the tank's heating elements and is poured into a larger storage canister. The onboard tank holds a decent amount of water and can handle about half a dozen mopping sessions before going dry.

As with most robotic vacuums and mop combos, the S1 Pro is ready to roll out of the box. The S1 Pro does need to be filled with clean water. This is easily done in the cleaning dock. You can also add a cleaning solution to the dock, should you prefer the option of using your own cleaner. If you decide to select this option you'll need to purchase the branded cleaning solution from Eufy which is more expensive than other robot brands that permit you to use your personal cleaner of choice.

The S1 Pro performed well in the coverage and efficiency of navigation tests, just like the majority of robots. It was quick to map out a area and navigated around furniture. It sat on carpets with larger piles several times during my tests. However, this could be improved by updating the software. The S1 Pro is a very robust robot hoover and mop that is available at affordable prices.

4. Roborock Qrevo

The Qrevo is Roborock's entry level mop and vacuum cleaner but it does have some impressive features. Its multifunction dock empties the robot vacuum with mop's dirtbag, and refills its water tanks, washing and sanitizing the mop pads as they go. The mopping system can sweep a large area before returning to its dock. The vacuum's suction power is ideal for removing pet hair and debris on carpets.

The software that runs the appliance is quite extensive, and provides a variety of options to customize the cleaning process. You can clean manually the entire area that are mapped by this device, or select individual rooms, expandable zone, or a routine you've created. SmartPlan is one of the mopping options. It makes use of the sensors on the mops to map out the area and determine the most efficient method to clean it.

Like all Roborock models we've evaluated, the Qrevo performs well in our tests. Its navigation system is robust it can map rooms quickly and cleaning them in an organized manner. The default pathing setting is excellent at covering a room, with no gaps or missing areas. The Reactive Tech hazard avoidance system is also quite effective although it's not as advanced as the color camera system found on the Qrevo Master or the S8 Pro Ultra. It can identify hazards such as thick carpets but it might not always detect small things such as rug tassels or electrical wires.

The one glaring flaw of this model is the absence of a mop-after-vacuum option that could be a problem for people who are frequently vacuuming before cleaning their robot vacuum cleaner. Fortunately, there's a simple solution: the app offers the option to "clean up" at the end of each session. This allows you to use the mopping feature of the vacuum to remove the last traces of debris and dust that you've left behind from the vacuuming. It's a nice touch and helps the robot to clean up a little bit better than its cheaper rivals.robotic-vacuum-cleaner-cleaning-the-room-while-wom-2024-11-07-13-20-10-utc-min-jpg-original.jpg
