Both robots do well picking up surface debris on carpets and hard floors and they are very good in getting around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software makes a smart map of your home to assist the i3+ to navigate and clean up efficiently. However, unlike the i7+ and other top rated robots we test the i3+ doesn't have a feature for avoiding obstacles which means it can get stuck on things like socks or power cords, and may have issues navigating across surface transitions like from hardwood to rug.

iRobot recommends clearing areas that the i3+ EVO will vacuum prior to when you use it, and include clearing out any toys or clutter it might encounter. It is also recommended to keep the dustbin and filters clear to avoid getting blocked. If the i3+ EVO's internal bin is full or its battery is empty, it returns to its docking station, automatically empties its trash into the station's dust bin and continues cleaning where it started. The i3+ EVO's battery can last for about an hour and a half of continuous use, and takes about three hours to fully recharge.

2. iRobot Roomba i7+

The iRobot i7+ is the top model in iRobot's flagship line and comes with the most recent features. It has self-charging and self-navigating, but the most important feature is its auto-emptying bin. This will eliminate the need for routine maintenance.

The Roomba I7+ is able to map rooms more efficiently with Imprint Smart Mapping. It also integrates with iRobot Home to schedule cleaning tasks, and it can control your robot through the app or via voice.

The i7+ is more efficient and more maneuverable in our tests compared to the eufy RoboVac G30. It also picked up large pet hair pieces from any surface including carpeting. The biggest benefit over the eufy the dust bin is self-emptying which eliminates a major cause of maintenance and reduces recurring costs.

We were also impressed by the i7+’s compatibility with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We utilized these services to instruct the robot on how to begin or stop cleaning sessions and also to move around the room, and even vacuum a specific area. The iRobot Home App made it easy to connect the i7+ to these services. Once connected, to speak commands to the i7+, such as "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home App also offers options to manage i7+ settings and evaluating performance.

3. Dyson Cyclone V10

This tiny Dyson model is a sports car that is amidst a sea of vacuums with cords that feel like minivans and buses. It has the power and features to replace a stand-up vacuum for most households, but it also fits perfectly next to the table for a coffee or a bookshelf where you can move it around like an enchanted device.

The V10 is powered by a seven-cell, energy-dense lithium-ion battery that produces continuous, non-fading power for 60 minutes. Its sophisticated whole-machine filtration system captures allergens and expels cleaner air back into your home. Its specialized cleaning head drives bristles made of nylon that are stiff into carpet to collect large particles and fine dust. It comes with three suction modes that can be adjusted to the task. It quickly converts from floor vac to handheld vacuum and back again.

This model also has a dock that charges to 100% in around 3.5 hours, and gives users easy access to two attachments as well as a Wand clip. This is a major improvement over previous Dysons which require a long charge and are difficult to store.

The main issue with the V10 is its limited run time. The claims of its marketing that it has up to 60 minutes of run time are a bit misleading as CR's tests have shown. This is a typical, not exceptional, battery-powered cordless vacuum's run time. It's enough time to sweep the average-sized home however, it's not enough time to reach every area. (A second time is usually sufficient). This model has its own advantages however: it's lighter and more mobile than previous Dysons cordless models and its ability to vacuum is noticeable superior for carpet floors with low pile.

4. iRobot Roomba 694"

The 694 is a basic robot vacuum that's a great choice for those who don't have a lot of money to invest in an expensive budget robot vacuum. It was able to pick up most types of debris and sizes during our testing and often went over the same area multiple times to give an efficient clean. The flat front of the unit allows it reach into corners and along the edges of walls, which is a nice feature.

Its navigation system is smart and uses iAdapt technology to stay clear of obstacles and guide you through your home. It's not equipped with the ability to map that is found in more advanced models, such as our top picks, i3+EVO and j7+ Series. Because of this, it may get stuck on things like phone cords and furniture that isn't in good condition, and often is power-depleted before making it back to its original location.

The Xiaomi Mi robot is superior in many ways to the Roomba 694, as it has fewer parts that require regular cleaning, is outfitted with an allergen-trapping HEPA filtering system, has a lower recurring cost, is more sophisticated in its automation capabilities and can better move its own. It also has a larger dustbin and can charge faster.

The elegant RoboVac X8 is superior to the Roomba 694 for a variety of purposes, as it has a longer battery life, can change its suction power mode on its own and comes with physical boundary strips, and is controlled by your smartphone's voice assistant. It is also more durable, has a more powerful motor, and works better on floors that are bare and low-pile carpet, while providing a greater variety of automation features.

5. Samsung Jet Bot AI+

Samsung is a household name in home electronics. It's no surprise that they are one of the top makers of robot vacuums and mop. Jet Bot AI+ has a cutting-edge onboard technology for navigation and obstacle avoidance.

The app gives you plenty of options to customize your robotic cleaner, including virtual barriers, mopping water levels and behavior adjustments docking frequency settings and more. The app is easy to learn and use as are other Samsung devices.

In our testing our tests, the Jet Bot AI+ excelled on hard floors and handled dog hair (on carpet) quite well, clearing up 86 percent of it. However, it didn't do particularly well at avoiding taller objects like cords and socks which was disappointing. It's also a little more expensive than some of the other models we tested, which might be a problem for some shoppers.

The Smart vacuum - funsilo.date - comes with an onboard camera that can be accessed via the app, and you can also set up a live streaming from the robot's cleaning station. This feature lets you check in on pets or kids when you're away from home. The filter and the dust bin are washable for quick, easy cleanup. The Jet Bot AI+ comes with a self-emptying clean station, which helps to keep the robot sweeper's bin clear and maximizes suction power.

The app makes it possible to steer the robot manually in the event of need. My living room rug for example has a dark-colored border that could cause trouble for other robots.
