The smart robot employs the combination of LIDAR and structured light to draw out floor plans and spot obstacles, navigating more intelligently than some of its premium rivals. It also has a camera mounted on the front to detect hazards in real-time, although this wasn't quite 100% foolproof during our tests and was sometimes confused by power cords or other obstructions.

The vacuum cleaner comes with a maximum suction of 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to complete the task. It also has "Intelligent Dirt Detection", which regulates the intensity at which the vacuum works and alters the frequency of cleaning for different areas of your home depending on the amount of dirt they tend to be.

For bigger homes it's recommended to choose a model with zone or spot cleaning modes that allow you to instruct the robot to clean a specific area of your home via the app or voice controls. A stairway mode is useful if you have a number of furniture.
