The Roomba j7+ is iRobot's most intelligent robot vacuum to date. Its most significant advancement is an obstacle detection system that utilizes built-in AI to detect objects like charging cords, shoes, and the dreaded pet waste most other robots can't avoid (and often plough right through). It's also the first to automatically send you a photo of any object it encounters to let you know to stay clear of it in the future.

But the Freo X Ultra has its shortcomings, particularly in terms of navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren't as reliable as other robot vacuums. This means it could get stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms in the house. It's also not able to climb stairs like other competitors and doesn't come with a docking station to create a cleaning area for carpets with plush padding.
