Upgrades can boost the stats of a piece and, sometimes, even add extras. The worth of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements and the number of random augmentations used.

For example, the elite racial shield Razortail is often upgraded to enhance its lightning absorb capability in PvP or to provide additional defenses on missile based designs in PvM. This makes it more exchangeable over the unupgraded version.

Reroll Tokens
