It will then automatically alter its path and clean around them without skipping a beat.

This is the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed, but it's also loaded with features. Its sleek, angular design is eye-catching and it has only three physical buttons which include the power button which can also restart cleaning; a mop button that doubles as a child lock; and a home button to bring the robot back to its dock. The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml trash bin and 200ml of water tank. The water tank automatically emptys and the bin automatically refills.

The only issue I have discovered with this model was that its VibraRise mop pad mount is not removable. While you can replace the mopping cloth (if it's required) however, it's a hassle to take off the mount itself to wash it manually. I've noticed that any carpet that the robot vacuums best touches will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener on mount, which can cause abrasions.

The S8 Pro Ultra has a variety of smart features that include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app lets you manage and set up these smart features. It also includes maps and advanced mopping options. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and monitor the battery life and maintain your components. You'll have to go through a few steps to enable voice control on this model. It's a shame, considering how efficient it is otherwise.

The mopping system is well designed and the double-rotating mop is a great choice for hard floors or in corners. The MopExtend feature allows them to reach even 2mm below the baseboards.
