In our tests the j7+ performed quick to remove dust dirt, pet hair and other particles. The counter-rotating rubber brush roll kept the debris in one spot rather than sending it scattering around the floor. It was able to capture small gravel, sand and even a bit of grit. The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot vacuum and mop that's impressively clever in its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design is among the best in the industry, but it's expensive.

It's a small base station that looks great and is able to be concealed when not in use. The primary selling point of the station is the fact that it automates a variety of tasks, chores and functions that other robots would leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which most other robovacs require you to do), empties the dustbin after vacuuming, and helps keep your robot clean and charged.

Its vacuuming capabilities are impressive, too. It's one of the only robovacs that I've tried that does a really good job of picking up debris on bare floors, and it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.

The Freo X Ultra is not free of faults, especially when it comes navigation. The laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as some other robovacs, which means it can get stuck or confused in certain areas of the house. It can't navigate stairs as well as competitors,, and it doesn't have a dock that allows you to create a dedicated cleaning zone for carpets that are soft.

Although it doesn't provide the same amount of cleaning configuration options in its app or as many shortcuts within the app as other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still a top choice for those looking for an all-around great mop and robot vacuum that's worth the higher price cost.

If you're looking for a way to save money or aren't averse to the limitations of the robot, there are many other options available. Many eufy models cost considerably less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for example is a bit more expensive and has many more features, like stairs and a fully-function Dock, which provides a better overall vacuuming experience on floors that are unfinished, low-pile carpets, and even high-pile ones.

eufy is an Anker company with a long history of creating robot vacuums that offer the perfect combination of performance, features, and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different and offers a powerful cleaning on hard floors and mopping functions as well as carpets at a price that is affordable. It's easy to set it up, just connect one of the side brush and turn it on, then connect the charging dock. The app takes you through several steps to connect it to your Wi-Fi. After that, the G30 is ready to go. The dock will need to be located near an outlet with plenty of space to move.

The G30 is tiny, 2.85 inches tall to be precise and can be tucked away under couches and other furniture with a low clearance. Its design is more modest than other models, sporting sleek black finishes and three physical buttons such as Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge, and Spot Cleaning (which cleans the area in a spiral pattern for two minutes). It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to perform cleaning that is not scheduled using voice commands.
