1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.

The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's most advanced robot vacuum to date. Its most notable advancement, however, is its camera-based obstacle-detection technology. This uses AI to identify objects such as charging cables and shoes. It's the first robot to provide you with images of objects that it encounters, so that you can tell the robot to stay clear of it.

The Combo J7+ is the most efficient mop robot we've ever tested, picking up dirt and spills with ease without leaving any trace that was there. It's easy to control using the iRobot Home app, which allows you to schedule cleaning and create Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't sweep areas you don't want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it using voice.

Its design is also superior to the rest with a sleek top piece that appears more like a toy rather than a loud, loud one. And the Clean Base Automated Dirt Disposal System is self-emptying and is ideal to speed up cleaning.

In our tests the j7+ performed quick to pick up and remove dust dirt, pet hair and even pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brush roll kept the debris in one spot instead of scattering it around the floor. It even managed to take small gravel and sand that other robots aren't able to do. It did all without getting caught up in our pet's hair.

Although it's not as sophisticated as the $1,217 iRobot Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum, and it's not able to clean stairs The j7+ is still an excellent option for those who need both a vac and a mop in their home. It's not expensive and the iRobot app makes it very user-friendly.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use, however we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner applications. It can take some time to download updates, and it can be difficult to determine if they are working until you see them in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

When you're looking for a vacuum that does more than just clean floors, the best choice is probably one that is a hybrid. This category of bots typically comes with a built-in tank for water that allows them to vacuum and mop your home at the same time. These bots also come with various additional features such as smart mapping, small object avoidance, and the capability to wash and dry mopping pads. The disadvantage is that they tend to be expensive at retail, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they often drop in price.

Roborock is one of our top robot vacuums, and the Q5+ is no exception. This is their least expensive auto-empty model. While it doesn't have some of the premium features found on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still an excellent option if you're willing to compromise a bit in order to save hundreds of dollars.

The Q5+ is notably soft around obstacles like table legs and walls which makes it a good choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in cleaning up dust bunnies. This is a area where many robot vacuums that are less expensive do not excel in. The Q5+'s navigation system is superb, with only a few mishaps on walls and corners.

Like other Roborock devices, the Q5+ can be controlled using a handful of buttons on the device itself or through the Roborock app. The app lets you start and stop cleanings. You can also set schedules, design virtual barriers and no-go areas, alter your home map, or re-label rooms.

If you decide to go with the Q5+, it comes with a new auto vacuum cleaner-empty dock, which was specifically designed to make the robot simple to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver, but once it's installed emptying the bin can be done easily. It features a large LCD screen, which is useful when setting up schedules and adjusting settings. This isn't a necessary feature for most people however it will help you keep the track of the intervals between maintenance for your robot with ease.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a sophisticated well-rounded mop and vacuum. It's capable of both vacuuming and mopping. Its design is among the best automatic floor cleaner in the industry, but it's expensive.

Its base station looks good and is easily hidden when not in use, and the size is relatively compact. But the station's biggest selling factor is its ability to automate numerous tasks and functions that other robots will leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which the majority of other robots require you to do) also emptying the dustbin after vacuuming, and helps keep your robot vacuum cleaner review charged and clean.

And its vacuuming is impressive as well. It's the only robot vacuum I've tested that does an excellent job of removing dirt from floors that aren't. It's also not as loud as the expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.

The Freo X Ultra is not free of faults, especially in the area of navigation. Its LiDAR and laser sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs. This means it can get stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms of the house. It's also not able to climb stairs like other competitors and doesn't come with a docking station to create a cleaning area for plush carpets.

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is an excellent option for those looking for a robot vacuum that does it all.

However, if you're looking to save money, or just don't care about the limitations of this robotic, there are plenty of other great choices available which include a variety of eufy models for substantially less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for example, is cheaper, but offers more features, such as stair climbing and a full-function Dock, with the ability to provide a more thorough vacuuming experience on bare floors carpets with low pile as well as high-pile carpets.

4. eufy RoboVac G30

Eufy is an Anker company with a history of producing robot vacuums with the right balance of performance, features, and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different it offers a high-quality cleaning of hard floors as well as mopping, carpets and other surfaces at an affordable price point. It's easy to set up, simply snap on one of the side brushes and then turn it on. Then connect your charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. You'll need to place the dock near an electrical outlet and ample space for it to move however.

The G30 is a small device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, which means it is able to be tucked away under couches and pieces of low-clearance furniture. Its design is less ostentatious compared to some rival models. It features a sleek black finish with three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs the area in a spiral pattern for two minutes), Recharge and Spot Cleaner. It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to conduct cleaning without a schedule using voice commands.

The way that the G30 cleans is what sets it apart from its competitors. It uses a built-in map to create an image of the non-movable objects that are in its path while retaining what it's cleaned and what it isn't able to access. It then returns to the base to recharge, and then begins cleaning where it left off.

The sleek G30 isn't without faults, though. The iRobot Roomba 675 is more built, incurs lower recurring expenses, charges faster and has a similar battery life while offering better performance on bare floors and low-pile carpet. It has a larger dust bin that doesn't require the same amount of emptying. It also comes with border strips that block it from certain areas. The G30 is, however is more affordable robot vacuum and is much more manageable to maintain. Its smaller dust canister does not require emptying as often and it struggles less with bulky material such as cereal.
