It features advanced features, like enhanced dirt detection and future compatibility (another company's robot that can wash mop pads on its own).

It's also the only robot vacuum/mop to score the perfect 10/10 out of 10 in our tests. This is thanks to a mix of high-tech sensors, including a structured light system, a camera, and a variety of lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot in our tests that is fully autonomously refill and empty its base station and it boasts the industry's highest suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mop pads.

Like other iRobot models as well, the X40 is user-friendly, offering a simple mobile app interface, and integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit as well as Google Assistant. The only drawback is that it's still quite a noisy unit that could be an issue if you use it in the morning before work or in the evening as you try to sleep.

It's also a bit expensive, though it's not as pricey as the Ecovacs X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 MaxV Ultra Both of which are equally capable and better-looking. This is a dual-purpose vacuum that is very efficient however it's going to cost you more and create more noise.
