This uses AI to detect objects like charging cords and shoes. It's the first robot to send you images of objects that it encounters, so that you can instruct the robot to stay clear of it.

The Combo J7+ is the most efficient mop robot we've ever tested, removing spills and dirt effortlessly while leaving no trace it was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. It can schedule cleanings and even create Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't vacuum in areas you don't want. And it's compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can turn it on and off using your voice.

Its design is also superior to the rest and features a sleek, top 10 robot vacuum cleaner piece that looks more like a toy than a loud, obnoxious one. And the Clean Base Automated Dirt Disposal System self-empties and is ideal for reducing your cleanup time.

In our tests, we found that the j7+ quickly eliminated dirt, dust and pet hair. The rubber brushes that counter-rotate kept the debris in place, instead of scattering it across the automatic floor cleaner. It even managed to catch small gravel and sand that other robots can't. It did without getting caught up in our pet's hair.

The j7+, although not as intelligent as the Roomba S9, which costs $1,217+ Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot and isn't able to clean the stairs, is still an option for those who need both mopping and a vacuum. It's not expensive and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use but we found it less reliable as other robotic cleaner apps. It can take some time to download updates and it is sometimes difficult to determine if they are working until you see them in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you're looking for a vacuum that does more than just clean floors, your best vacuums option is probably a hybrid. These robots come with a water tank, so they can vacuum and mop at the same time. They also have a number of extra features, including smart mapping, small obstacle avoidance, and the ability to dry and wash mopping pads. They are expensive at retail, but usually lower prices on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock is the manufacturer of some of our most loved robotic vacuums and the Q5+ doesn't disappoint. This is the least expensive model of their auto vacuum cleaner-empty line. Although it doesn't have some of the more premium features (like no-go zones and multi-story memories), it's still an excellent option if you are willing to compromise to save a few dollars.

The Q5+ is remarkably gentle when it comes down to obstacles like tables and walls. This makes it an excellent option for homes with lots of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in cleaning dust bunnies. This is a area where many cheaper robot vacuums fall short. The Q5+'s navigation is excellent, with few misses on walls and corners.

Like other Roborock devices as well, the Q5+ can be controlled with a handful of buttons on the device or via the Roborock app. With the app you can start and stop cleaning and schedules, as well as create virtual barriers and no-go zones and alter your home map or re-label rooms.

The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's incredibly smart in both its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design is among the most innovative in the market however it's quite expensive.

The base station is attractive and is easily hidden when not in use, and its size is relatively compact. The station's main selling point is that it automates many tasks, functions and chores that other robots leave to you. It can store dirty and clean water, and then electrolyze and heat the water. Many other robots require you to perform this.

Its vacuuming capabilities are impressive, too. It's the only robovac I've tried that does an excellent job of removing dirt from floors that aren't. And it's not as loud as the expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.

The Freo X Ultra is not without flaws, especially when it comes to navigation. Its LiDAR and laser sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs, which means it sometimes gets stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms of your home. It's not able to climb stairs as well as competitors, and it doesn't have a dock that allows you to create a dedicated cleaning zone for plush carpets.

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great choice for those who need a robot vacuum that does it all.

If you're looking to save money or aren't averse to the limitations of the robot, there are many other options available. Many of the eufy models cost considerably less.
