The upgrade of an item allows players to boost an item's gear score up to 700 and add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded by keeping them in inventory before heading to the kiln.

Certain items can be upp'd for their unique stats (like a perfectly made breakpoint armour that can be rolled to use in melee PvP) while other items, such as weapons do not vary greatly post upgrade and thus aren't worth upgrading.

Weapons

Weapons can be upgraded to boost their numeric stats such as the chance to crit, attack damage as well as PvE and damage to PvP. Weapons have a flat-rate bonus that increases damage per second. A lot of weapons also come with an unaffected bonus that is activated when three or more identical weapons are used in a single unit. This bonus could exceed the damage that an upgrade alone can cause.

A weapon can be rerolled by pressing the green button, which is accompanied by circular arrows within the menu for items. The item will be rerolled and alter its stats, but not reset the weapon's levels or bind it to account status.

Armor

You can't upgrade your armor the same as weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior then you should concentrate on upgrading your armor to increase physical power or spell power. Upgrades to trinkets are an economical alternative to buying a new one. You can upgrade their trinket for just 12 tokens. The new trinket comes with the same base level as the old trinket but it also comes with an additional bonus of 1% upgrade.

Trinkets can be re-upgraded once they're no longer needed and allows players to increase their power and value over time. They can also be traded between players which makes them an attractive alternative to gold.

In general players should make upgrades to their most important items first. This means that the Best item upgrader-in slot items for each class are first upgraded before their secondary gear, and then other pieces of equipment that will not replace anytime soon (such as an earring or a cloak). When choosing the items to upgrade, players should also take into account the preferred statistics of their class. For example, if Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for tankers it is recommended that they upgrade their chest, helm shoulders, belt, and helm.
