World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

In addition to Rerolling affixes and rerolls, players can also choose which stats they want to keep on an item when it is upgraded. The stat ranges are determined by the item's level. However, all items will contain at least one stat in that range unless they are a unique item or an item that has a God Roll from a raid boss.

Item Luck
The Luck stat of a player boosts the probability of obtaining items as well as the properties spawned by loot and the intensity of these properties. However, it doesn't directly affect damage or the ability to upgrade items. It gives the player a chance to upgrade their equipment in earlier waves and is thus more useful in the early game than later ones as most players prioritize higher weapon scaling and defenses over the raw damage gain.
In addition to influencing item discovery, Luck also increases the probability of success when upgrading items using the Blacksmith. This isn't to be confused with the Blacksmith's overall chance of upgrading, which increase with each new level of item. These can also be increased by using anti-materials like the Scroll of Strength and a Jewel of Blessing.
Armor, shields and weapons can be created or spawned by using the Luck property, with an initial value of 40. These items can be enhanced with golden ingots, spined leather, or oak boards (depending on the item's material type) to grant a further +40 Luck or to boost the Luck of the item up to 140.
Certain items, such as the weapon with Hollow-infused components can also be outfitted to increase the damage of any skill that deals damage by five percent. These items can be purchased in the shop or constructed using the right ingredients.
Item Failure
Not all upgrades work. Cash shop items can be used to increase the success rate of an upgrade or to stop players from losing their items if it does not work.
When you upgrade an item the success rate is displayed in the Honing UI. The percentage represents the likelihood of successfully upgrading an item upgrading. This can be increased by using Additional Materials or Special materials. The percentage of success can only be increased so high, and the probability that an upgrade will fail can't exceed 100%..
The performance of an upgrades is also influenced by the luck of that item upgrader. All items have a base success rate of 25% and every item that has Luck increases the chance of success by five percent.
Note that upgrades to items are rendered above the inventory items therefore enchantment glints and other effects could be obscured by them. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
