World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of weapons, armors and rings. They also boost extra bonuses, such as damage from PvE and crit chance.

If the weapon's upgrade template is in %, the weapon will be able to gain 3% of its previous attack damage every time it is upgraded.

The cost for upgrading items increases when they reach the current level of the item. The cost increases as the level of the item increases.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be put into armor, weapons, and trinkets in order to provide an extra stat boost or impact while they're being used. They can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from vendors, trading or looting. Certain upgrades come with special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into any equipment that has a slot for them. The item must have been at least upgraded to the blue level in order for the component to be inserted. Upgrade components, unlike other modifications, can only be applied only once. They are not able to be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and enrichments are a type of upgrade component that can be used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or Ascended equipment, as well other items that are not ascended. Infusions and enrichments can be retrieved by salvaging gear that is ascended or by completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade could be prefixed or a suffix, modifying the name of the equipment to which it is applied (for examplefor example 'Canthan Armor Insignia" becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades boost an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, allowing players to create stronger versions of that equipment that require fewer Upgrade Crystals than would be required to achieve the same level of upgrade through normal methods.

A boost upgrade can alter the defense or attack properties of a weapon, or armor. These upgrades can be made using the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene, and defeats the Crazed mechanic. They can also be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear or by buying them in the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals.

The player is able to have the maximum of five boost upgrades at one time; each upgrade increases the likelihood that a higher-level version of the item upgrader will drop at the time of the next reset. This gives players an incentive to upgrade their gear even when they're not sure how much it can be improved upon an update.

The process of upgrading an item can be costly and it's possible that the item will eventually become obsolete or even break in the event that the upgrade fails. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed when the upgrade fails. This is alleviated by the availability cash shop items that increase or even eliminate the chance of failure, and a few upgrades that give an additional benefit when they are inserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to upgrade items the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets that are specifically designed for. Glyphs boost the effectiveness of all nodes in the area around them and include pre-existing affixes to equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded in many ways, and we suggest getting them to level 15 as soon as you can.

In the final game you'll find that the most effective way to upgrade your gear is to place Glyphs. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded directly to level 15 and provide significant boosts to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to get higher nodes faster.

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced, but Glyphs are the only upgrade component that can be removed and re-placed without any restrictions. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires the use of a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and replace.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you choose it in your inventory. You can replace it with a different Glyph of the same rank or a higher rank, which will increase the overall value of the Glyph.

Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase, with certain unlimited-use tools, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt has a chance to drop one of the various Glyphs, and there are also a few rare glyphs that can be obtained as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

After you have acquired the desired Glyphs you'll require them to be put on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a bonus that will boost a specific set of stat nodes that are within the radius of the Glyph. Depending on the Glyph it could be +40 to one of your primary stats, or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Utilizing Glyphs Glyph will boost all nodes that are connected to it, so you should try to place your Glyphs close to key nodes on the Graph to maximize the impact. Druids, for instance, should place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They might also consider placing them near their critical damage nodes.

Leveling

The item upgrade system allows players to increase the effectiveness of certain items by introducing upgraded components. This is referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item is assigned a level which determines the final stats. Upgraded items may be leveled to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each level of an item requires different components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.

Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or bought from NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe completed yields a certain number of Technology points. These points can be used to upgrading an item. Once enough points are earned you will be able to claim your upgrade and get its extra bonuses.

When an item is upgraded by a player, the base item is replaced by a new item of the same kind. This means that the same armor piece will become an weapon or shield once upgraded. The new item will come with a bonus of its own. This could be a problem, as it can cause the item to become more expensive, even if you don't need it.

If the player has enough tokens they can reroll item upgrades. The item will be replaced by an entirely new item that has a level 1 basis and completely different bonuses. This can be useful for certain items, however it's not something that should be done regularly, as it can waste many resources.

Certain upgrades can be rerolled several times, increasing their value and allowing the player to customize their gear. One example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an increase in power when a player repeatedly enters and leaves the water (or is able to swim like dolphins). The item can be upgraded several times by increasing the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item is extremely valuable in PvP, as an item that is properly rolled it can be worth between 20 and 50x its non-upp'd value.

Requirements

Item upgrading allows players to boost the level of their equippable equipment--armor, weapons, and trinkets above ilvl 385--by providing the appropriate currency and items to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also improve the strength of their base defense and upgrades to weapon items increase the damage they deal as well as their strength and dexterity.

All items can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception for hero equipment, which is able to be upgraded eight times. Every when you upgrade an item, it is given an opportunity to fail. The rate of failure increases as you exceed the maximum amount of upgrades. Failures can cause the item to go back to its original state, which will force the user to pay more for materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the maximum number of upgrades.

If an item level upgrade is not upgraded, the experience bar in its growth bar will be reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it earned, such as crit chance attack damage, additional effects (such as a higher healing rate over time, or reloading speed). The player will be able to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from the lowest to highest. This means that if a weapon receives a crit chance boost, the increase will be applied before any damage to attack increases. Slots is a brand new attribute that has been added to the definitions of items. The value is calculated every time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item are determined by its rarity rating and upgrade slot count. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equal to its base value. For example, a common item might have five upgrades at a cost. 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items will have a much lower cost for each upgrade.

Premium items could have different upgrade requirements than normal equipment. For example they might require fewer sowels, but more minerals and orons. However, players will need to visit the NPC [Armorthe ] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they want to upgrade. Each equipment upgrade item requires different amounts of the ingredients needed to upgrade, in addition to the cost mentioned above.
