Select models that allow users to select between different types, including self-emptying and clean stairs.

1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro

The gunmetal and gloss black Omni S1 Pro from Eufy is one of most impressive mop and robot cleaner vacuum combos available. It uses lidar to navigate, and create maps of floors and rooms (even multiple levels), and works with the free Eufy Clean app that lets you set schedules and alter the S1's behavior.

The S1 was capable of mapping my downstairs quickly, which includes linoleum flooring in the kitchen, dining room, and bathrooms, as well as medium-pile and a large rug. It was capable of driving close to walls and even cross thresholds that are raised without issue. However it was a bit difficult getting down the stairs in one step. The S1 also did an excellent job cleaning hard floors, with its mop driving effortlessly on its flat side against the floor and then lifting its own weight when it reaches carpet or rug.

The docking station on the S1 automatically emptys its dust bin and refills its water tank onboard with clean, ozonated water prior to each mopping session. The dock also provides an extra-deep cleaning solution to the water. The S1's water tank can hold enough water for around twelve cleaning sessions before it has to be emptied, though it will differ based on how much you use the mop.

Like all 2-in-1 robots the S1 requires regular maintenance to ensure it is operating well. You'll need to periodically rinse out the dirty tank to avoid it becoming blocked. It is also necessary to clean the swivel wheel and sensors regularly to prevent them from getting clogged by dust or dirt. Overall the S1 is easy to maintain, especially when compared to other models which require more effort to maintain.

2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete

Ecovacs All-in-one robot vacuum and mop is an effective solution for cleaning. The Ecovacs robot vacuum has 8,700Pa of suction and offers a number of innovative features, including full home mapping, voice control and smart path-planning to avoid obstacles and cleans furniture. The mopping feature is impressive, with rotating mops that actually lift and scrub the floor instead of simply dragging the pad across it. The mops can be dried and cleaned at the base station if needed.

The robot is simple to set up and use, with a clear interface that guides you through the process. It includes a hand vacuum that recharges for those hard-to-reach areas that the robot can't reach, as well as two water tanks that are automatically empty and replenished as required. It comes with a variety of settings that can be used to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.

The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does well at vacuuming, and has a powerful suction that easily removes most of the debris, and even tiny dust particles that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are decent, but it could get stuck on small mats and rugs in my home (which you can reduce by creating virtual boundaries in the app). Mopping capabilities are excellent with a pair of spinning mop pads that are able to lift and scrub floors, rather than just dragging the pad across it. The mops are also cleaned with hot water and dried in the base station when needed. The mops are also filled at the top of the station when they are required.

3. Dreame X40 ultra

Dreame launched the luxurious X30 Ultra earlier this year and their new flagship model of robot mop and vacuum has more impressive features. It has outstanding cleaning performance and hands-free maintenance making it a top contender on our top mop and robot vacuum list. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart detection and a larger side brush ensure that an effective, customized cleaning is accomplished.

The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, removing large and fine particles from both hard floors and carpets. It cleaned the dirtiest areas of our tests with ease, avoiding pet hairs and other messes. The sweeping performance of the machine is enhanced by a sidebrush which automatically extends to get into areas that are difficult to reach and mop pads that run across baseboards.

Its navigation is smart that can navigate tiny spaces and negotiating stairs without skipping a step. It is able to move from one room to another without having to change direction. This is useful for homes with a lot of rooms. Its obstacle avoidance is less advanced than that of some competitors and leaves a wide space between obstacles. This can result in missed spots.

The interface of the app is simple and streamlined. It should be simple to use for novice and experienced users. The app allows you to plan and manage cleanings, change suction power and mopping settings and view 3D and 2D maps, and more. It can be controlled via the app, Alexa or Google Assistant. You can even tap into the X40 Ultra's camera remotely to get live video surveillance. You'll need a stable WiFi connection to run the app and external controls.

4. Roomba Q5 pro

A robot vacuum can do a fantastic job of removing debris and dirt, but it can't always reach every last particle of dust. It's essential to clean your home often, at least once a week. This is especially important for dust that builds up in corners, on shelves and in the crevices of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop robot that was designed specifically for this purpose. It's easy to connect to your Wi-Fi at home network and integrates with Alexa and Apple Siri, making it an even more convenient addition to your daily cleaning robot mop and vacuum routine.

The Q5 is a stripped-down version of the company's expensive S-series models. It includes the top-of-the-line Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. It is equipped with the same LIDAR mapping sensors, however it is cheaper because it does not have mopping capabilities and comes with a plastic body.

Despite losing the ability to clean your floors, the Q5 still has the best robot vacuum cleaner and mop vacuum and mopping performance we've seen from a robot in this price range. It has a suction power of 5500Pa and an auto-empty system so you don't need to empty the bin manually each time. It also comes with a smart app that lets you set your floor type and schedule cleanings. It also has an automatic refill of the water tank and wash system that allows hands-free operation.

The mops also stand out with its 2700Pa power to combat pet hair and dirt on carpets as well as hard floors. The Q5 was among the few robots we tested to not have issues with high-pile rugs and carpets. However, it was able to not pick up kitty-litter or cable tangles. This isn't too surprising as it doesn't have AI-powered obstacle-avoidance features.

5. K10 Plus

K10 Plus is the quietest robovac we have ever tested. It also uses a unique mapping system that allows it to reach corners and tight places that other vacuums cannot. It also stores dust in a larger dustbin that means you have to empty it less often. Additionally, it has washable filters, which reduces the cost of using the device. The robot can also recognize carpets and increase suction if needed. You can also mark areas you would like to keep out of the app.
