It's extremely efficient and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted rooms extremely quickly and the hardwood floors in the kitchen, hallways, and living room in a single sweep. Its suction motor of 8,000pa will quickly pick up dirt, droppings, and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects carpets, and the dual side brush helps to remove debris from corners.

The mopping performance is a little less impressive, but not by much. The mop rotates at a high rate and pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, easily cleaning up dirt and stains. I've also noticed that the front arms extend out slightly more than other robots, which is useful for getting into tight corners and on baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to scoop up larger objects such as books and toys that have been damaged.

Another nice feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mops I've ever tried. It is quieter and doesn't make more noise when mopping or vacuuming. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to use a mopping solution that is proprietary and is sold separately. It's simple to install and performs well however, it's something you'll need to be aware of in case you're purchasing this vacuum solely for the purpose of mopping.

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our review, however it has some distinctive features that are worth considering. The X1 Omni's biggest draw is its enormous dock, which serves as the robot's charging base and housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a sink for cleaning and an automatic 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically emptys.

The base comes with a couple of buttons for control, which allow you to manually begin a cleaning task or recall the robot, or run the dock's automatic vacuum cleaner and mop emptying procedure. The X1 Omni cannot automatically switch from mopping mode to vacuuming mode during cleaning. You will need to manually switch between the two, which isn't an issue except for the fact that the mopping pads aren't washed and dried between uses and can cause mildew or mold.

On the positive side, the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its modern and sleek base as well as mopping pad. It's a big change from the utilitarian black bases of competitors like Roborock and iRobot and a pleasing sight in a space that is dominated by clunky boxes and clunky models.
