Upgrades can boost the stats of a piece of gear and at times even add additional features. The worth of these upgrades is determined by the levels of gear, their requirements, and how many random augmentations are made available.

For example, the elite shield for racial discrimination Razortail is commonly upgraded for its lightning absorb function in PvP, or to add additional defenses to missile-based builds in PvM. This makes it more tradeable than the perfect non-upgraded version.

Reroll Tokens

Reroll tokens let you buy a new item, such as an armor, weapon or ring. The item is replaced with an identical item however with different benefits. Reroll tokens can be a cost-effective method to upgrade equipment. However, they do not retain the level of the original item, and any wasted resources will not be refunded.

Reroll tokens can be obtained by survivors via a variety of methods like the Mistery Box or as rare drops from skulled creatures. They can also be found in chests and crates or purchased at the local store at a cost of 150k each. Reroll tokens can be used to change the attribute of a piece equipment such as increasing the damage it can cause.

Players can reroll their equipment into three categories: physical power, magic power and health. Upgrades to physical power boost the damage of melee and weapons attack and spell power boost mage attacks and the ring. Health upgrades provide the player with an additional amount of health.

There are three types of reroll tokens: upgrade, rare, and legendary. Each of these upgrades the item to a better quality. To make them, you'll need an upgrade level reroll token. Upgrades require a standard item. Rare upgrades require an item that is either exclusive or legendary. Legendary upgrades require three legendary pieces.

The marker that rerolls, unlike markers or tokens placed on action spaces remains on the space till the next success is being rerolled. This helps to prevent the waste of upgrades.

Blueprints are envelopes which appear at the start of each Preparation phase. They are opened using Interact by pressing on them. When they are opened, they show a description and icon for the Appliance or Ingredient. Blueprints can be exchanged for new Appliance or Ingredient in the restaurant's shop for the amount of coins.

This means that blueprints can be moved between the Staple Pool (which is the default pool) and the Non-staple Pool during a game. This changes the blueprints that the restaurant's shop has available for rerolls, and those that are located in the non-droppable Pool.

Growthstones

Weapons and armor, as well as accessories can be upgraded in Throne and Liberty using Growth Stones. These are special stones that increase the value of an item by increasing its stats or attributes. These items can be obtained by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs in the major towns. They can also purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants for a price. In addition, players can get these stones by completing daily contracts.

To upgrade equipment, the player must first locate the item then click the "level up button". The menu will be displayed showing the item upgrader mod's current level and what it will be after being leveled up, along with the required amount of Growth Stones to accomplish this. The number of Growth Stones needed to upgrade the item is determined by its rarity. Most often rare (blue) weapons require more than one green Growth Stone to reach their next level, while uncommon armor requires a single blue or green Growth Stone.

After deciding on what to upgrade, players must then select the number of green Growth Stones they wish to use and pay the corresponding cost. Once the requirements are met, the player can select the upgrade button to apply the Growth Stones to the item. The item will be upgraded in level by a certain percentage. Based on the rarity of the item and rarity, the upgrade process could be as quick as a few seconds to minutes.

The upgrade process is also risk-free and doesn't affect the durability of the item. This makes it an excellent way for players to get an advantage in battle without putting stress on their bank accounts. Furthermore players can transfer experience and progress of an upgraded item to new gear by clicking on the "transfer" tab.

For new players, it can be difficult to acquire Growth Stones. However, there are many ways to acquire these stones, such as contract completion and purchasing them from the Contract Coin Merchant, defeating Abyssal Contract enemies, obtaining them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book, or obtaining them from the reward chests during the Ancient Arena season. In addition players can cut down higher-level Growth Stones to create multiple lower-level ones.

Leveling

Leveling is an option that lets you increase the effectiveness of armor and weapons. You can also upgrade trinkets and helms. It's done by the combination of an item upgrader kit with upgrade components at the Upgrade Station, paying a cost of Happy Stars or Happy Tickets. The process will consume upgrade materials and grant the item an upgrade level, giving the item a boost in that area. This process can be repeated until the highest level for an item is attained.

Items with upgraded base stats will display the blue icon in their slot. Upgrade components, unlike enchantments can't be applied to more than one item at once. Additionally, each upgrade component will require a specific quantity of items to be applied in addition to a minimum amount for the equipment.

The Upgrade Station has two slots: the first is where players can place a piece of equipment to be upgraded, and the right slot shows a preview of what the equipment will appear like when it reaches its next level. Pressing the yellow arrow when a player has sufficient materials will start the upgrading process.

A piece of gear can be upgraded a maximum of five times. Each time it is upgraded, the stats of the base item will increase by only a tiny amount. The highest level for an item is 19.

Once an item has reached its maximum level, its upgrades are no longer available to it. Also, when an item is on a certain upgrade track (e.g. Veteran or Explorer) upgrades for that track will come with discounts.

Upgrade components are a type of equipment that can be slotted into weapons, armor trinkets, trinkets, or gathering tools to provide an attribute bonus or extra effect while the equipment is being used. They can be purchased from vendors, looted, or obtained through questing. They can also be traded between players. Upgrade components can be replaced with new ones, however doing so will destroy the previous upgrade, excluding for glyphs, which can be removed and replaced freely.

Requirements

Upgrades can be beneficial for some items, but not because they boost stats. They are more valuable for the players when they get the perfect roll. A perfect-rolled 200/6 500 armor set piece, for example, is highly valued by the melee PvP communities and could be worth up to 20-50 times that of the unupp'd version.

The game will highlight the requirements when you select the upgrade component that goes into the item. This includes the type of item (either Weapon or Armor), the level of the item and the Upgrade Item Token required, as well as the amount of progress required to complete the upgrade items.
