World of Warcraft item upgrades (Read More Here)

Best item upgrade upgrades are a way to increase the stats of an item. Based on the type of upgrade, it can boost the rarity of an item, or its Mark Level, and also boost other stats.

Upgrading gear in The War Within requires a set number of Flightstones and Crests and each item has an upgrade track. Each upgrade increases the cost of the next item upgrading by a specified amount.

Item Level

The value of an item's basic stats increases as it is upgraded. This value is the sum of all of an item's upgraded perks (attack magic attack and defense). Upgrades can be costly, depending on who you hire and what you do. This is due to the fact that many perks must be replaced in order for the item to get upgraded.

The level of an item is a widely used measure of power, and can be seen on all item tooltips. It can also be used to determine a gating condition when queueing for dungeons, scenarios, and raids, as well as to limit the amount of PvP gear a player can wear (since PvP is restricted to a lower level). The average level of an item can be found on the character sheet.

Using the item level can help players evaluate the strength of equipment when choosing to buy or sell. It's a good gauge of an item's worth and the amount of damage it will be capable of dealing with. Comparing items in the inventory of a vendor is possible using the level of the item.

On your PC, you can check the level of the item by pressing ALT or using the left stick on XB1 or PS4. This will show the full description of the item, as well as its value. It is also accessible by hovering over an item using the mouse cursor, and then typing /itemlevel into chat.

There are many theories about the method by which the level of an item is calculated. One theory is that the level is a number that comes from a formula which calculates the value of an item's stats are worth. It takes into consideration that different advantages are valued differently and that gems in sockets increase the item's value. This could result in an item's ilvl calculated, which is typically very close to Blizzard's actual item level.

However, this isn't the only factor that can affect an item's ilvl since the level of the region the item dropped in can change the value of its stats, such as by adding a level to its crit rating or haste rating. This means that items that drop at higher levels will have more ilvl than those from lower-level instances.

Item Stats

The item's stats can be the difference between a good or bad item for players. The game uses them in a variety of ways to encourage players to not limit themselves to a single weapon and to motivate players to explore other weapons. The base stats of a weapon are boosted by the weapon's stat mods which are then increased by the player's skill.

The upgrades to items add by increasing certain stats on the item. The rarity of an item determines the cost of upgrading. For example, a grey or white item will only be upgraded once, while items with rare tiers will be upgraded several times, at higher costs.

Affixes are another way to alter the stats of an item. These are special stat boosts that can be added to an item by the player, and come in a variety of sizes and shapes. Affixes can be used to give the item extra damage, or add a unique ability to the Best item upgrade (such as reviving the dead or decreasing the duration of cooldowns), or make the item unique by giving an additional name to the item.

All affixes are currently re-rolled by selecting them in the upgrade item menu and pressing the green button. It will cost a set amount in gold and items. They can also be used as upgrade gauges just like the other methods of rerolling.

In addition to Rerolling affixes and rerolls, players can also choose which stats they want to keep on an item after it is upgraded. The range of stats is determined by the item's level. However each item will have at least one stat in the same range, unless it's a unique item or the item is a God Roll from a boss in a raid.

This is another aspect that could be altered by adding the option to upgrade the equipment without having to reroll the affixes, or selecting which stats to increase. Like the base equipment, this will have to be done per item and the item comparison interface would not display all the possible stats simultaneously.

Item Luck

The Luck stat of a player stacks up to increase the odds of finding items, the properties spawned on loot drops and the intensity of the properties. However, it does not directly affect damage or the ability to upgrade items. It gives players the chance to upgrade gear earlier in the game. This is especially beneficial in the early game, since players tend to prioritize weapon scaling and defenses above raw damage gains.

Luck can also boost the likelihood of upgrading items at the Blacksmith. This should not be confused with the Blacksmith's overall upgrade probability that increases with each item upgrade level and can be further enhanced by using an anti-material, such as a Scroll of Strength or a Jewel of Blessing.

Armor, shields and weapons come with an initial Luck value of 40. These items can be improved by using golden ingots or spined leather (depending on their material type) for a further +40 luck, or to increase the luck of the item to 140.

Furthermore some items, such as the Hollow infused weapon can be used to increase the damage dealt by any damage-dealing skill by 5%. These items are available from the shop, or they can be crafted using the right ingredients.

Item Failure

Not all upgrades work. However, there are cash shop items which allow players to increase their success rate or prevent them from losing an item if the upgrade is unsuccessful.

When you upgrade an item, the success rate is displayed in the Honing UI. The percentage is the probability of successfully upgrading an item. This can be increased by using Additional Materials or Special Materials. The chance of success can only be increased by so much, and the chance that an upgrade will fail can't be greater than 100%..

The success of an upgrade is also affected by the luck of the item. All items have an overall success rate of 25%, and every item with Luck increases this chance by 5%.

The upgrade overlays of the item are displayed above items in the inventory. This could obscure enchantment effects and other effects. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
